- Had less than a decade of Senate experience before choosing to run
- Many people were suspicious of his faith
- Considered by many to be a “pretty speaker”
- Overwhelmingly favored by African Americans
- Foreign policy based on negotiation with enemies
- Called himself a “citizen of the world”
- Favored “socialist” policies like more taxes to fund education, government subsidized health care, and an increase in the minimum wage
- Many people were suspicious of his globalism, fearing he would be controlled by an overseas power
- Proposed strong government intervention to stop the recession

If you won’t vote for Obama, would you vote for this man described above? I’ll give you a chance to guess who he is. Hint - most people agree that he was a pretty good President.
Patti, most American historians would disagree with you. Besides solving the Cuban Missile Crisis, creating the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, establishing the Peace Corp, and proposing the Civil Rights Act of 1974, Kennedy holds one of the highest presidential approval ratings of all time. He was only in office for three years but, by all accounts, got quite a bit done.

Yes, he was publicly assassinated, but so was President James Garfield (for example) and Garfield has no legacy to speak of.

Supposedly he has been helpful in negotiations. Where does he stand?? I just saw the GOP dance around this question and NOT answer it. Why do we not know what his position is? Why is this some big secret? If McCain has some good ideas, whey can’t we hear them?
Bush and Obama put out a joint statement at first and now it seems his view is unknown??

Barometer Soup asked:

In the Couric interview, when Palin was asked if she had ever been involved in negotiations with the Russians, she said, ” there have been trade missions…”

Has there been any follow up as to what she meant by “trade missions” and what exactly she meant by this?

Why is Hillary trying to push Bush to start a war with Iran?

I thought everyone was criticizing McCain for saying that Iran was a potential threat that might need military intervention.

So, why is Hillary saying the same thing now?

While Bush is saying that he prefers to continue negotiations before taking any drastic measures. Ironic, isn’t it?

In a speech at Princeton University, Mrs. Clinton, a New York Democrat, joined the Bush administration’s call for sanctions against Iran, and also said that the threat of military action against nuclear sites should not be ruled out.

“Let’s be clear about the threat we face,” Ms. Clinton said. “A nuclear Iran is a danger to Israel, to its neighbors and beyond.”

“We cannot and should not - must not - permit Iran to build or acquire nuclear weapons,” Hillary said. “In order to prevent that from occurring, we must have more support vigorously and publicly expressed by China and Russia, and we must move as quickly as feasible for sanctions in the United Nations.”

BTW, if you don’t like that link, there are plenty of others, just do a search and read one that you DO like.
@Rezko: What do you think “MILITARY ACTION” means? A formal dance with our soldiers? Wake up.

To the rest of you…I never said she was WRONG…Iran has always been a threat.

Why do you think Vince Vance’s ‘BOMB IRAN’ song was so popular in the 80’s?

My point is…When McCain mentions it, you guys lose your minds and call him a warmonger. But, when Hillary says it, you say “She’s RIGHT”…..Are you starting to see the light, yet? Kinda scary, isn’t it?
Okay, if you people have no clue what “military action” means, I guess there’s no way to explain this to you. You are free to remain ignorant. I hear it is quite ‘blissful’
@ White Pig: Your video is from last year.
Hillary voted FOR that btw:
