How do I forward a Port for a Wireless router?

Not a physical port, like ethernet but a kind used to connect more easily to things like uTorrent.

It says “A port must be forwarded from your router to uTorrent to get good speeds. This port is used to let other peers connect to you.”

How in blazes do I go about doing that properly?

I’m trying to set up Utorrent and use mininova. So I did everything as if I had a computer-and then I read on the internet since my laptop is wireless, I need to set up the port differently(?). Needless to say, I configered a port, set firewalls, and my port STILL is not open. Is there an easy solution???What am I doing wrong please.

How to use Remote Desktop on a different port through a Linksys WRT54G?

JasenMH asked:

I am able to forward port 3389 to the machine I want to remote control but when I change the port RDP listens on for that machine to something else I cannot connect. Using Port Query from inside my LAN it appears that the port is indeed being listened too, but I can’t get the same result from the other side of the router.
The WRT54G doesn’t provide a way to forward an outside port to a different port on the inside, unfortunately.

Curry n Rice Girl asked:

I have a computer that uses a modem and I want to connect another computer in the same house with a wire router. How can I do this? I don’t want to pay for another modem because then Cox will double my monthly payment.

The new computer has an Ethernet port, but apparently won’t work with a wireless router according to the previous owner.

How do I open a port on our SBS 2003 with two network cards and seperate router?

matthewlabarre asked:

We have a new server running SBS 2003. We have a router that acts as a firewall. What I use to do was just open a port on the router but now with the new server we have two network cards and one acts as the WAN access and the other is the LAN. So I need to know how to forward a port in SBS itself. I have heard some talk about RRAS and I can find that but dont have a clue what to do next. I am trying to open a port so that I can use some programs on my workstation computer. I am the network administrator so I have all permissions. Thanks for your help.

Hi. I recently downloaded an application on my iPhone called the Remote Pad. This allows for me to use my phone as a mouse cursor on my macbook. It requires an ip address and a port number. How do I find the port number? I’ve found the ip address, but has been looking all over the internet on how to find the port number. Help?
